Four generations of KLM family members have dedicated their lives to the forests of Montana.
For over 100 years, our family members have dedicated their lives to managing the forests of Montana. Through sustainable practices that balance the health of the forests with the financial and material needs of our community, we have proven that sustainable logging and forest management are not only possible, but are profitable.
Two of the owners of the KLM Contracting sit on the Executive Board of Directors for the Montana Logging Association, serving as the President and Vice President. Our founders were named the 2018 Montana Wood Products Association “Logger of the Year” and were also presented with the 2020 “Lumberman” of the year award and the "Woodpecker of the Year" from the Hoo Hoo Club (a fraternal organization across the country with an impressive history).
KLM Contracting has deep roots in the Montana forestry and logging industry. Our knowledge and connected network of experts, including foresters, conservation consultants, land developers and service providers, provide our clients with the most dependable and elevated services possible.
We utilize this network to help develop plans with our clients to fund their development or land improvement work, to ensure that prescription work is completed, and to provide any services necessary to improve the health and long term outlooks of the forests in our area.
